There are a variety of foreign language and English as a second language resources available on Idaho Public Television's educational programming channel (Learn cable). The foreign language instruction programs we air include (all times MT/PT):

Fokus Deutsch Follow the story of Professor Bob Di Donato and Marion, his assistant, as they create a German course using a “German studies” approach. They weave together minidramas set in Germany, interviews with native speakers, and documentary footage on history and culture, all of which help increase fluency in and comprehension of the language. Begins August 29. Airs daily at 4:00 pm and 4:00 am thru September 10.

Connect With English Learn English as a second language through the story of Rebecca, an aspiring singer on a journey across America. Connect With English touches on life’s important issues: leaving home, parenting, education, work, love, success, and loss. Not currently airing on Learn cable.

Destinos: An Introduction to Spanish Learn Spanish with this mysterious and entertaining Spanish soap opera, which takes you to Mexico, Spain, Puerto Rico, and Argentina. Not currently airing on Learn cable.

French in Action This series uses active participation to increase your fluency in French and help you experience French culture. The antics of an American student and a young Frenchwoman in Paris and the French countryside are guided by Dr. Capretz's on-camera instruction. Not currently airing on Learn cable.
